Erica has always been active in one way or another. She played soccer into young adulthood, and as a student at the University of Georgia she discovered a love for strength training and running. To date she has run countless 5k and 10k races, and has run 5 half marathons. Over the years she has developed her true passion for health and fitness both physically and mentally.
Erica’s professional career began in education as a first grade teacher. During her time as a teacher she worked with the P.E. teachers as a running club coach, and constantly encouraged her own students to be active in and out of the classroom. Over the past 8 years she has trained with several personal trainers, and as a result began creating her own training regimen through research and practice. Since her fitness journey began she has transformed her physique by shedding body fat and gaining lean muscle mass. She is now a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. After spending the last 8 weeks participating in training sessions with Dan FitzSimons and other trainers at bodyfitz, Erica has accelerated her learning curve as it applies to safe and effective training skills, technique and client relations. Erica’s goal as a trainer is to provide appropriately challenging workouts based on each client’s needs. Her ability to listen, learn and TEACH are priceless qualities that you will benefit from.
