Dan FitzSimons leads a staff of dedicated, certified professionals who make it their business to define your goals and help you reach them. You don’t have a lot of time, so we’ll tailor your program and workouts to fit your schedule. We’ll raise your fitness level faster and you’ll have more fun in an atmosphere of serious professionals having a good time because helping you get healthy is what we love to do.

Dan

A dedicated athlete, coach and educator he opened BodyFitz Certified Personal Training because his whole life has been about fitness, health and recreation. Throughout his high school and college years, Dan participated in track & field, throwing shot put, discus and javelin. He played football for the UConn Huskies. He coached high school track and football while teaching physical education. Dan holds a BS degree in physical education from Southern Connecticut State University and his Masters degree in Educational Leadership is from Central Connecticut State University, besides being NSCA and ACE certified . Combine education with enthusiasm and you’ll understand what makes Dan run.
Recently Dan competed in the Assault on Mt. Mitchell for the 3rd time, as well the Mt Washington Hill Climb–3 minutes faster, 6 years older!.
Back to sprnt triathlons this year, cannot wait!

James

“For me, it’s all about helping you push through the obstacles that keep you from reaching your goals.” Originally from Ohio where he earned a BS in Strength Training and Conditioning, James is currently pursuing a Master’s in Exercise Science at the Citadel. His passion for fitness is paired with his knowledge of the body and the latest techniques so he can design the right program for you, regardless of your current condition, and take you to a new level of health. Dedicated and sincere, James is an NASM certified personal trainer and a pleasure to work with.

Leah

Most recently Leah competed in and finished her second Ironman in Kentucky. Leah continues to take on challenging events to keep herself in top shape both mentally and physically. Her dedication to her clients and work is just as strong. You can be assured that she will have your best interests in mind and will help you set reasonable and attainable goals for yourself. Leah is working on her second personal training certification through ACE to maintain her diversification as well as to stay on the cutting edge of our industry.
A little history: While attending the University of Louiville Leah found her passion for fitness. After competing and winning various fitness competitions she decided to build a career for herself. She first obtained her certification for massage therapy from the Atlanta School of Massage and then her personal training certification through ISSA.
Results:Leah finished the ‘09’ Louisville Ironman in 14 hours and 30 minutes!

Heath

After more than 7 years of work as an exercise physiologist, Heath has insights into special training demands that are unmatched in the area. His formal training includes a college degree in sports management and a certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the NSCA. However, it’s his hands-on experience in outpatient rehabilitation facility coupled with his speed, strength and agility programs for student athletes that give him a unique range of practices and procedures he can employ to help you work through injuries or improve your fitness level.

Chantrell

Chantrell is all about attitude and ability. Combine that with her education and training and she will provide you with an outstanding training program. Her personal experience includes an outstanding track and field career at SLU where she earned a BS and a Master’s, while working as an assistant coach. She is ACE certified with 11 years of experience and she is currently earning a Ph.D. at Georgia State. The benefit for you is that Chantrell is a trainer who has performed on the field, in the classroom and at the gym, bringing all her experience to help you achieve all your goals.

Jim

Jim is a Licensed & Certified Massage Therapist specializing in the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach. A 2006 Graduate from Georgia Career Institute in Conyers, GA, Jim is highly skilled in various massage modalities including: Swedish, Sports, Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue & Neuromuscular Therapy, Reflexology, Traditional Thai Massage and Assisted Thai Yoga. Jim is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals.
